For me, the characters of this series and the events that transpired were absolutely unforgettable. At one illuminatd, it really seemed like they would, since they began to turn to others for comfort and considering that Lucian popped into the story at about that time. Okay, a lot farfetched, but it provided an explanation as to why our heroine and her sidekicks were removed from their families and living in a hotel. I kept going back to it again and again but every time I kept getting more and more agredti and annoyed with the characters and the plot in it’s self that totally felt like it wasn’t moving!
Ya sabia lo de la monja jajaja me parecio bueno: Haven Terra is one of select few to win a privileged internship at the up and coming Lexington Hotel in Chicago. But everything changes when she moves into Chicago’s swanky Lexington Hotel for a illmuinate internship shadowing the powerful, alluring, and startlingly young owner, Aurelia Brown.
The story was pretty slow-going for me. As the plot takes a very long time to move along, we get well acquainted with this hotel through Haven, who is instructed to learn all that she can about the inner workings. Yes, there’s a huge Capone component the hotel is where the Valentine’s Day Massacre took place, and there’s even a minor mention of Geraldo’s ill-fated opening of the hidden vault but the history is aimed over – it’s there for atmosphere and nothing more. Again, another short review.
Her assignment seems normal at first, but slowly she realizes that something is not quite right – and her friendship with Dante is starting to loosen.
As for Lucian and Lance Smart, well-crafted and sophisticated; without a doubt, this belongs on the top of the stack of the current crop of angel books.
The age thing can be found in Lucian, too. I fell instantly in love with both. In addition, there were some elements at play in this novel that seem to run rampant through YA fiction lately: However, I must warn you about the ending.
Lance’s actions during this time don’t exactly endear him to the reader, and even when it’s “explained” I still found him to be a bit of a jerk.
The romance is definitely one to keep an eye on, and I really loved them together. Sep 03, Gabriela rated it did not like it Shelves: It took so long to set up the plot liluminate by the time the big dramatic revelations occurred, I had lost my patience and was ready to move on.
Dieses Buch war ein wenig besser als das erste, was aber wohl daran lag, dass der Einstieg durch die Schilderung von New Orleans so faszinierend war. In fact, I have seen mixed reviews olluminate this novel. First of all, the characterization. The agrexti was also problematic for me.
While I didn’t find what happened devastating, it still left me on the edge of my seat and willing to beg for more.
They do avoid some things, but I think that’s only fair. The style is truly admirable, and made my experience with Illuminate that much more enjoyable. So, after finishing reading this book, i recommend to readers to not underestimate this great book.
The three friends have been recruited to participate in a volunteer assistance program in New Orleans, a community still struggling to rebuild after Hurricane Katrina.
Illuminate (Gilded Wings, #1) by Aimee Agresti
I was also kept guessing throughout the book. She’s not all that physically attractive and she’s ashamed of scars over her heart and on her back. I really wanted to adore this.
This needed some editing to cut it down. Overall, this book is an absolute masterpiece. Let’s be honest, here: I love that he’s a major player now, and the fact that he gets his moments to shine. Overall, if you’re not such a fan of the angel trend as I am not I would recommend this book to you as aimes happens to be mostly character driven, with a pretty well constructed plot. Angsty angel books usually go into my burn before reading pile, but the blurb on this one promised at least some action so I decided to give it a go, needless to say I was pleasantly surprised.

I’m happy to report that, for me at least, that was definitely the case. Goodreads helps you keep track of books you want to read. Each agrfsti, our editors select the one author and one book they believe to be most worthy of your attention and highlight them in our Pro Connect email alert.
However, it has a big strike against it from the get go. However, it does not work for me.
Will all of them still be alive when the dust settles? Like having to paint a master level mural after visiting a museum for a few hours.
Haven’s thoughts didn’t drag me in the way they should have and they only truly captured my attention once she began scheming. Give it a try, if for no other reason then so you can come back and dish with me over that totally weird kiss twist.
My hat goes off to her for having the bravery to do so. However, it does help solve the love rhombus, so that’s a plus.
