As I say, some characters really did hit the ‘poignant’ note, and hit it well. He is a tad harsh on Oregon, though. I think the cover is brilliant, its another part of the whole thing that made me want to read it. I understand the adverts were trying to add to the feel of a tube journey, but again they seemed like huge in-jokes that I wasn’t in on.
