The story was weak, or maybe weak when the secondary characters and the Travis family reunion outshines the main love interests. This being said, if you decide to not read the other books in the series, you’re seriously missing out. Also don’t be involved in a baby’s life if you don’t think it’s an amazing addition to your life. But my editor Jennifer Enderlin, with her usual insight, suggested that I give her a touch of insecurity and make her plus-size, and as soon as I tried that, Avery acquired a really great, sharp sense of humor.
I was definitely rooting for Avery and Joe as a pair not so much for Avery’s sister Sofia and her love interest, though. There was a lot of chemistry and sexual tension between the pair. I was so excited to see the Travis family again. And the humor was really well lisw, it added a nice layer of lightness to the overall feel of the book. Joe is a wonderful Hero. She is at turns dismissive, cold, and hardheaded with not giving Joe a chance.
