I’m so glad that Silhouette is reprinting Nora Roberts’s older titles, and I’m looking forward to reading them all. I liked First Impressions better than Blithe Images.

In fact, I would have been happier with a story about the photographer and the millionaire’s secretary who, at least, had some interests they could share. I hope so anyway. A Man for Amanda.
I know many readers think her earlier stories were better, but I disagree. I’m wondering if it was one of her first books, as it read like it may have been. She has a successful model career which is rising, a plethora of friends, and a beautiful apartment. Romance was not exactly something she was looking for, as she always assumed that she would be just fine on her own.
I’m not really sure I can say that I loved this one by Nora. Transparent, trusting but not naivestubborn, fiery and determined to make her dreams come true. Jun 11, Nicole rated it really liked it. Great for a rainy day, cup of tea and comfy chair. Hilary is a mix of independent and innocence while Bret is overbearing. It had a nice romantic story. It was a quick read and great to take down to the pool and read. On the bright side, it was clean, which, given how sexed up books these days are, was a relief.
Of the two stories, I liked First Impressions more. This story should be given a negative rating. Her role was limited, but she was rememberable This book had two romance stories in it. I listened to the audio version and the narrator did a good job. By the time I was done it was covered with sand, had been left on a beach chair in the rain, and had been dropped once in the pool.

I didn’t really finish the second one, completely, to be honest; “pretty girl problem” stories aren’t my cup of tea. Seven Days of Us. This is not romantic or fun. I will pick up something more recent and try again. This was a short and sweet little romance i,ages that completely stole my heart! But the creepy part came because everyone treated the heroine in this story like a child.
There are more than million copies of her books in print. Also, Hilary, an established model in NY, Okay book 2 into my Nora Roberts chronological read through because why not?
These were my first Nora Roberts reads and I’m chalking my dissatisfaction with both stories up to the fact that they were earlier works. The heroine is a one dimensional dodo, full of internal musings and inwardly tortured by the evil machinations of the other woman.
