A modern take on a Hellfire Club from the perspective of one of the victims. The arrogant condescension of the narrator, Matteo, is done in such a way that you find yourself looking up to him as a child to a master story-teller. Please note, I read this book years ago. Belladonna is a very good read and will keep you belladnona for days! They were castrated in the war, and therefore, Belladonna doesn’t see them as a threat. I loved Tim Curry doing lots of different voices.

So, while this book seems a little extreme, it is a good novel. Just as delivery can make or kill a joke, Mr. From the first few paragraphs I was drawn in. In her place, a new woman is born. The story is narrated by a man named Tomasino, one of the few men that Belladonna truly trusts along with his twin Matteo.

That said it is dealt with sensitively, despite the book being about revenge. The diary format was an interesting one as well, as it was written in third person rather than first, showing how Belladonna detached herself to survive her ordeal. It’s a novel of revenge for some pretty nasty stuff being done karej an innocent 18 year old girl in It’s dark, it’s seductive and just plain fun.
Difficult to grasp all the characters when I only listened for 30 minutes each day. I’ve read this book twice and I highly recommend; especially to anyone who likes revenge stories.

My library Help Advanced Book Search. His point of view makes the story a bit more emotional and captures the enigmatic beauty of Belladonna viewed from a different perspective. This book is like a guilty pleasure, it’s true. I liked best the enuchs story, you didnt realise at first there was a story there, or how they had come together, but it all suddenly made sense.
It was ok, but not as good as I had thought it was in high school. I forgot about most of everything that had happened. I found this book at a Dollar Tree when I was in middle school. He loves to talk. But, looking forward to her party and utterly inexperienced in life, Isabella does not know how far men will go to satisfy desire. I am interested in Belladonna’s story, but i find Tomassino’s narration tedious. Erotica is intense but implied more than graphically described.
